How did Orro Energy come into existance?
The idea behind Orro Energy was born in the spring of 2009. Celal Oruç and a few business partners developed a plan for an energy company that would give high priority to simplicity, transparency and customer-friendliness. A unique concept was born!
Celal Oruç
Celal Oruç left Turkey for the Netherlands when he was 19 years old. His dream: acquire a strong position in the international business world. He first opened a phone shop under the name Ortel Telecenter in 1996 in The Hague. There he applied his philosophy to a practical setting: offer good, affordable and especially honest and transparent products and services combined with sincere attention for the questions and issues of customers. This turned out to be a very successful formula. Soon, more locations were opened in many cities. Celal Oruç is now viewed as one of the most successful businessmen of the last few years on a national and international level.
Good for each other
The central questions that the three founders asked themselves were: Why do most energy companies make their product so complicated and non-transparent? And why are they so far removed from their customers and the perception of those customers with regard to the services they provide? Can this not be done in a better way? This sowed the seeds for the establishment of Orro Energy. The energy company that would deal with issues differently. Especially in a simpler and more personal way.
At the start of 2010, the new headquarters were put into use, in Delft, close to the A13. Orro Energy supplied gas and electricity to its customers for the first time in spring 2010.
